Jenny Schneider describes this Soul Art piece

This Soul Art journey was created during and completed after guiding my first group Soul Art Workshop. At the time of the workshop, I was aware of lots of dragonflies around me, both inside my studio and outdoors.

On researching the meaning of the dragonfly, I discovered it is symbolic of “realizing one’s true potential in a way that also benefits others, and is the ultimate expression of the power of following one’s dreams”

This seemed perfect as guidance for me as a future Soul Art Guide, so I included them in my artwork.

The use of colour was intuitive and the spirit figures, was my being supported by my guides and my desire to combine art, healing and creativity. During the creation of this work, I embodied the dragonfly, rising towards the light and unlocking my dreams on the verge of transformation of myself as an artist and guide to others.

The ‘stitching’ represents mending and healing of Earth and others and nourishing the ‘seeds’ of potential for growth.

This Soul Art piece in Jenny Schneider’s words…

This journey was a real challenge for me as I had a complete block against money with regards to art. I knew I had to embody this in some way. My biggest insight on completion of this artwork, was my ability to integrate and create abundance doing what I love and to acknowledge the receipt of money, as an energy exchange for what I give out to others.

The grounded image of myself firmly rooted and by Earth, balanced and supported is mirror imaged and includes ancient symbols of currency, abundance and infinity. The mirror image reflects the fire and passion within me as well as my desire for growth and abundance through my expression.

How Jenny Schneider describes this Soul Art piece

I completed this artwork for my Core Star journey. What a journey!

I was working with the nĂ¼ Earth ritual at the time and realised a huge shift during the process. All I knew is that my connection to Earth and its elements is deep and my Core Energy needed to relate to who I am! I needed to work with the elements of Earth, Water and Fire, Earth to relate to my connection, water relating to emotion and fire relating to my passion for art, healing and creativity. I collected ash and charcoal from a fire, sand and water, leaves and other natural elements. Making media for this artwork was in itself a ritual, as well as being an experiment. I created paint with ash, charcoal and sand and used the leaves to create mark and texture. The pelvis just appeared as I was painting and surprised me, but represents rebirth and a container of my feminine energy. Throughout this work, I felt I was being ‘guided and led’. The shape of my hands became the base of the pelvis and I felt like I was ‘birthing’ and expressing my core.

The confirmation for me was that my Core is deeply entrenched with the Earth’s core! I find myself at my most creative when outdoors and using natural elements.

Why Jenny Schneider is in Soul Art School

I have always wanted to find a way of combining art and healing, not only for myself, but for others. Joining Soul Art School and the Soul Art Certification was the perfect answer. It is a way to reconnect with Self, recognize your true potential and through working on Self, create huge transformation and healing. It is only once you heal Self, that you can guide and heal others. Soul Art has created a stronger connection to my Higher Self and embodied trust in myself as an artist, healer and guide.
