Anna Alcock describes this Soul Art piece

This piece was inspired by the process of working in layers and responding to my intuitive guidance. By working with oracle cards, music, and symbols as Creativity Doors to reveal what art wanted to come through my creative spirit. Each layer was created as a response to the process, including the colours, the brush strokes, the shapes, and ultimately the Buddha who came with a strong message of inner peace. It was an absolute joy to birth this beauty.

There was a very specific journey of this piece being realized.
It began one day when the blank canvas was laid against the wall of my lounge. The sun was streaming in and the shadows very clearly formed the silhouette of my late friend and fellow creative, Patrick. I took this as an immediate sign that he was coming to me with a message. One that he needed me to give form to and explore through my process of creating through layers.

To connect with Patrick’s spirit, I played Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush, a song we shared at Uni together. I grabbed my paints and infused the canvas with symbols, words and movement for the 1st layer. As the layers progressed, the spirit of David Bowie came through and ‘Starman’ delivered the messages for the next layer. Followed by the spirit of John Lennon and the powerful message from ‘Imagine’.

Each layer a response to their words and music. A Co-creation with Spirit through the portal of Creative Expression

The end result was a message of peace, of our infinite possibility and the power of our Creative Spirit.
