Yaelle Schwarcz describes this Soul Art piece

What I love about Soul Art is that there is no one way of approach. Each piece is a journey, a ritual and seems to have its own life force. All I need do is set my intent and follow the prompts. This piece let me see what an integral part of nature I am. At a time when I was beginning to doubt my sense of belonging, it took me beyond my beliefs and fears. I saw how I am truly a part of the whole and that listening to my urges, no matter how strange, allows me to build a strong foundation and come back to my own centre where I can literally connect with my own dots.

From the beginning nature took the lead. Grabbing handfuls of soil from my garden I anointed and gently massaged the canvas with it. I sang to it as if it was my own beloved child. It was such a joy to apply each dot with a stick rather than a brush. It felt like salve to my wounded spirit.

To complete the journey I hung it between two trees in the forest and applied more earth. And unexpectedly the sun came out and the canvas seemed to glow from within. It whispered: “Ground yourself and your light will shine”. I could not have orchestrated it better myself!

This Soul Art piece in Yaelle Schwarcz’s words…

I’ve been a part of the Soul Art Certification for a few years and love the deep connection I’m developing with myself through creativity. The insights and the wisdom bubbling up when I surrender to the process reveal ever-growing gifts. I never know where I’ll end up or how long it will take or what I’ll discover. But I can be guaranteed that my soul will speak to me through everything. Sometimes a piece stays with me for many years. This was one of the first soul art body maps I created. Eight years later it is still revealing me its secrets.

Back then it seemed to show me a general map of who I am. It seemed to reveal to me my power and obstacles and untapped potential held captive by familial beliefs, fears, patterns and contracts. In a world where I was used to making myself small, the fear of owning my own power was too far out of reach to consider. After other soul art pieces to deepen my understanding and then take the necessary albeit small steps forward, I now revisit this piece with new eyes and newly integrated understanding. Now I accept this guidance with a newfound self-love and power that stirs my fires into action.

How Yaelle Schwarcz describes this Soul Art piece

For many years I understood that I had a Soul Star but it was always a nebulous concept, someone else’s idea and my connection with it was difficult until my Soul Star energy-mapping journey. One of my favourite aspects of Soul Art is the intimate conversation that evolves during the process. In this piece the words came to me through feelings, sensations and spontaneous insights. I felt the untapped aliveness and joy as it gushed through my body. Its power spoke to me as it weaved its web of connections like tiny lights strung together exploding into light. So powerful was the energy generated, that I needed to move and sing to ground it and yet at the same time I felt welcomed, protected and nourished. Now my Soul Star is no longer a concept. It is an experience that I continue to embody.

Why Yaelle Schwarcz is in Soul Art School

What a privilege it’s been to see my own value and untapped potential; to feel the power of my creative spirit running through my body and to see it’s mind- boggling creations; to address the fears and beliefs that have stopped me from living a creative and joyful life; to stretch myself beyond my own reaches and know the process doesn’t have to mean ‘endless suffering’; to experiment with difficult concepts in a playful way and find my own solutions then follow through with action.

These are the many reasons why I have chosen Soul Art School to inspire and guide me..
